The Lullwater Residence original farm house was built in 1890. It is markedly the oldest structure in the Historic Druid Hills neighborhood and presumed to be the first. The addition of historic English masonry walls, pavilions, and multiple fountains occurred sometime in the 1950’s on the 2 acre property, but the landscape truly has sat idle since that time- allowing box woods to grow to full maturity and multicolored azaleas to dominate the overall structure of the garden. With the third owner in the early 2000’s, the original farmhouse tripled in size rendering the Italianate courtyard house we see today. Day & Day Company has been tasked with bridging space and time - honoring the historic elements on the property while incorporating contemporary features for a young family’s modern day living.
